Advantages of the GT6 Ceramic-Compatible Caliper
At the core of the GT6 system is a powerful 6-piston caliper designed to pair with fade-resistant, lightweight carbon-ceramic discs, making it ideal for high-performance street driving and light track use.
Constructed from one-piece cast aluminum alloy, it offers high rigidity and low weight, reducing unsprung mass and improving handling response.
Excellent Thermal Stability: Compatible with large-diameter (355mm/380mm/405mm) two-piece floating disc designs, ensuring lightweight performance and high-temperature resistance. Carbon-Ceramic Disc Characteristics:
High-Temperature Material: Made of carbon fiber-reinforced silicon carbide (C/C-SiC), capable of operating at temperatures exceeding 1000°C with exceptional thermal stability.
Two-Piece Floating Design: The disc body is separated from the aluminum alloy hat, allowing for free sliding during thermal expansion and contraction to minimize thermal deformation and vibration.
Lightweight Design: 40%–60% lighter than steel discs of the same size.
Ventilated Design: Densely drilled surface holes enhance heat dissipation, reduce brake fade, and mitigate the risk of hydroplaning.
Stable Performance: Operates reliably at 900°C; braking force remains virtually undiminished during continuous mountain descents or repeated heavy braking on the track.
Extreme Temperature Tolerance: Withstands 900°C without thermal warping under continuous heavy braking; hardness far exceeds that of cast iron or steel discs.
